Keshav Prasad Kafle (KP)
Heart of the Himalaya Treks P. Ltd. was founded by renowned trekking guide KP Kafle. KP was born and raised in the heart of Nepal’s Solu Kumbu district. He has been leading treks for over 25 years, beginning in 1985, when he met a Californian who sponsored his initial trip to the US to learn English. He began to hear many Americans describe their interest in visiting his beautiful country some day. He started thinking that guiding treks in his magnificent Himalayas would be interesting and, at the same time he began to develop a plan for helping his people. He graduated from Lane Community College in ESL (English as a second language), which qualified him to be a trekking guide. He was anxious to return home to his family and to launch his highly successful trekking business.
Today, KP is well known for his trekking business and as Executive Director of Nepal SEEDS(www.nepalseeds.org). In 2008 he was recognized as one of REI Adventure’s Top Guides of the Year. He continues to develop and expand his trekking business to regions throughout the Himalayas. He is uniquely connected to his country through Nepal SEEDS’ activities in various regions within the country. He lives with his family in Kathmandu, and his youngest son is following in his footsteps. When you trek with KP you will learn that his heart is also in the mountains and with the people in the remote mountain villages where he brings the promise of improving the quality of life for his fellow countrymen.

He has been a finance controller for more than 20 years in different tourism organizations and his youthful looks would indicate that he has started his carrier into tourism so young. He is energetic, knowledgeable and looks all the financial records and administration. Besides his financing job he looks after all tour operation and he is Operation Director of the Company.He resides in Kathmandu with his wife and younger son; his older son is currently studying in the U.S.

Hari Karisha Pudasaini
He was born and raised in Kafleni village Makwanpur District south of Kathmandu near from Kulekhani. He lives in Pharping with his family. He has two son. One son is studying computer engineering and another son he is a doctor. He works in Patan Hospital, Lalitpur. He is an excellent guide and has been involve in tourism since 1997. He has lead group throughout Nepal. Hari is a senior guide of this company. He has a good knowledge of guiding and English language. He always stays focused on travelers’ satisfaction. He takes both pride and pleasure to offer willing service to our valued clients. His friendliness and hospitality definitely make your visit to Nepal a memorable one. |
Ram Kumar Rai
He was born and raised in Salleri in Solukhumbu district Nepal near form Mount Everest. He has a long experience of guiding. He lives in Kathmandu with his son.He is one of the highly qualified as well as sincere staff of the company, since 2009. Before he joined us he worked with big organization and guided trekkers from different country. He has good knowledge of English Language and guiding.He has 15 years experience in tourism. We are very happy to have him in our team._ |
Jorlal Thing
He was born and in raised in Bhorle, Rasuwa District north of Kathmandu near from Langtang. Now he lives in Kathmandu with his wife and two children. He works with KP since 16 years. He is young, energetic and smart guide.He is very friendly & helpful & he have a lots knowledge about trekking trails of different trekking regions in Nepal. He has an excellent experience of setting of campsite including dining tent, kitchen tent and sleeping tent. He is very important for trekking. |
Dipesh Kafle
Dipesh Kafle is an experience trekking guide of our company. He has good knowledge of trekking and has been involving in trekking since 2010. He is fluent in English and he has good knowledge of Nepali culture, flora and fauna and birds. He has completed his bachelor’s degree in Travel and Tourism management from Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management College (one of the best tourism college of Nepal) Tribhuvan University. He has already lead many treks with us such as Mustang trek, Annapurna Base Camp, Langtang trek, Everest Base Camp, Manaslu etc. He likes to travel many places and explore new things. His would like to contribute his education on tourism field.

Santoshi Balami (Office Manager)
She was born and raised in Pharping, South of Kathmandu. She lives with her father and mother. She is working with the Heart of the Himalaya Treks from 2008. Up to high school, her schooling was in Pharping of southern part of Kathmandu valley where she was born. In 2008 she went to Kathmandu for further study. She is studying Humanities with major English and sociology. She handles the administration at office.
