Mardi Himal Trekking is a short and spectacular trip in Annapurna region. It is less touristic area and that can be done basic tea house. The trip covers some of the breathtaking glacial valleys and the hidden landslide of the Annapurna. The trail is harsh and slippery to slogging ahead till the Mardi Himal base camp. It is the best way to discover dazzling sceneries.
The trek goes through the miraculous rhododendron forest at the initial portion and eventually, the setting turns on the rugged trail dominated be the hard rock formation. During the trekking we can explore the dramatic panoramas of Mardi Himal, Fishtail, Annapurna and Himchuli peaks. The trail undulates along the ridge and after a tiresome walk you gain the High camp and Mardi Himal base camp on the following day. The entire Annapurna range is visible from these points.
General Itinerary Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345 meters). Overnight at Hotel Day 2: Kathmandu city tour. Overnight at Hotel. Day 3: Drive to Pokhara (827m/2,700ft): 6-7 hours Day 4: Drive to Kade and trek to Australian Camp(2060m/6,758ft). Day 5: Australian Camp to Forest Camp (2,500m/8,202ft). 4- 5 hours Day 6: Forest Camp to Low Camp (2,970m/9,504ft): 5-6 hours Day 7: Low Camp to High Camp (3540m/11,328ft): 3-4 hours Day 8: High Camp to Mardi Base Camp(4,500m/14,763ft):6-7 hours and return back to Badal Dada Day 9: Badal Dada to Landruk (1620m/ 5314ft) Day 10: Trek to Jhinu Dada (1760m/5770 ft) Day 11: Jhinu to Simai and drive to Pokhara Day 12: Pokhara city tours. Overnight at Hotel. Day 13: Drive back to Kathmandu (1345 meters). Overnight at Hotel Day 14: Bhaktapur Sight seeing. Overnight at Hotel. Day 15: Transfer to international airport for your final departure.
